Copenhagen, the Winter Wonderland



Tivoli is a famous amusement park and pleasure garden in Copenhagen that looks spectacular in Christmas lights. It attracts annually millions of visitors from around the world.




The beautifully landscaped park opened in 1843 and is the second oldest amusement park in the world. During Christmas season it fills up with stands that are selling Danish specialties.







In addition to the rides, the magical park is popular as a romantic place to go dining and people-watching.




The steadfast tin soldiers are also a well-known symbol of Copenhagen, adopted from H.C. Andersen's equally recognised fairytale.
