The first stop on our traditional Sunday's exploration trip was this time the sleepy village of
La Dormida. We had a drink break at a local road-side restaurant where the hospitable owners indulged us with fresh strawberry juice.

After the thirst was sated we continued to the main goal of our trip, another little village called
Olmué.

All feeling hungry we decided to search a nice restaurant.
La Doña Mercedes is actually an event center, which means that in addition to the restaurant one can organise events of all kinds there.

The restaurant's menu consisted of typical Chilean cuisine. Here is
pastel de choclo, a sweet mashed corn casserole with little "surprises" inside, like a boiled egg, beef and chicken.

And a chicken with a sorted salad.

The guys having a siesta in the sun, although it was interrupted by tiny little ants.

After lunch we went to explore the centre of the village.

There were two parks where the locals like to spend time on Sundays.

The best places for shopping are the traditional stands where the locals sell self-made stuff: jewels, knits, souvenirs and the like.

The knits for children are colourful and usually made of alpaca wool.

Olmué is a nice little village and offers plenty of more action, but this time we opted for the lazy side of Sunday'svillage hopping. ;) With the sun slowly setting and turning the wind cold, we decided it's time to drive home again!
