After our wonderful trip to Brasil we settled back to the normal rhythm easily. In Mid-May Chile has a public holiday which we decided to use well, and travelled to southern Chile, almost 700km from Santiago.
Our destination was Hotel Dreams in Temuco. Oh boy, and dreams it was! Incredible four star hotel with sauna, spa, gym and casino in little industrial town assured our entertainment - and the people were so friendly, the food was so delicious! At the casino we got lucky. Twice during the weekend we won nearly 100 Euros in the roulette!
On Friday we decided to check out another famous Chilean tourist destination, Pucon.
The town is known of its volcano and several outdoor activities, such as horseback riding, canopy, rafting, minigolf, volcano climbing and thermal waters, to name a few.
The pictures of the volcano were taken in Villarica, a cute, small town between Temuco and Pucon.
Some Chileans claim that Pucon region is in parts like Finland - plenty of green with many lakes.
As we were in Pucon for just a couple of hours, we decided to play some minigolf and have a great lunch. I started the round leading, but towards the end boys took me over. Unfortunately.
Pucon's main street.

Saturday we got acquainted with Temuco's market, and the many handicrafts they were selling.
Each stand was selling basically the same stuff. How they have enough customers with the same kind of supply, is beyond me! The trip to south was really nice and relaxing, and we will definitely go again to Pucon. After the long weekend it was time again to start working. The past week after a loooong time I met my chicas for our usual Girls Nite Out. Wining and dining well in an excellent company, catching up and planning for next events is so much fun!
On Tuesday we were invited by the Austrian ambassador to his residence for a dinner.
It was really interesting, and we felt honoured by the invitation.
This is smart looking me posing at home after the dinner. And next week we will get to go there again for a tango recital. Exciting!
